its already straight piped. and i know he needs to. i did the mod to my truck today. believe it or not but if i granny it and keep light on the go pedal i figured i'm gettin 20mpg around town. figure a quarter tank is about 4 gallons and in a quarter i went 80 miles
If you have a short bed, a quarter tank is about 8 gallons...
i got a long bed 2 tanks on my 95 f-250. thats what the 2mpg is in. still got to figure what the 2000 f-350 is gettin. what should she get? its a 4 door 8 foot bed 4 wheel drive
yea thats mine it a 250 7.3. you'll see the mods i did in my signiture. but my dad was like son if your gettin 20mpg outta your truck i want you to do that to mine. so i came to you guys cause i'm goin in blind on this newer engine technology. i'm only 16 and have learned so much from you guys i can almost work on any obs diesel and soon any 99-03 diesel
I just put one of these on my re-built turbo, but can't tell you how it does cause I ran into a speed bump. up-pipes are worn so the donuts wouldnt' seal if I were to put it back together.
but will report when I do get in and and see how it works.
i have 2 friends at work, both have 03 f-250 crew cab long bed, 7.3's
both run air intakes,(one has a 6637, the other an afe) both have stock exhaust. both run the superchip tuner, (one runs the 1705, the other runs a flashpaq) both guys get 19 mpg unloaded
by the way, the one running the afe intake hates it, filter is restrictive, the minder will move about halfway up just by mashing the throttle in first gear.
