e4od trans problems
hello everyone heres my scenario!!! i just got my trans rebuilt 120 miles ago. its an e4od,when i got it back she was shiftin flawlessly thenit got hung up in first gear and didnt shift till it hit 3000 rpm and went straight to 3rd.took it back to the shop that built the trans and he said the solenoid pack must be bad, so he replaced them and everything was fine for 130 miles now its doin the same f@!@#^* thing please help !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Heck alot of these electronics are defective when you buy them. I've had to do the same thing with some starter selenoids. I'm glad i knew the guy, or I'd have to have bought about 3 of them. You just can't rely on all the electronics you buy today. Hopefully it's just another selenoid pack. Good luck.

I read some stuff from a gear and transmission web site that shops were having trouble with a certain after market solenoid valve packs.

thanks for the info. just got the truck back and put 50 miles on it so far so good!!!!!!! the mechanic said the wirin harness was corroded and he replaced it,im keepin my fingers crossed.ill let you know how it pans out
