Has anyone ever put a set of 4v cleveland heads on a 400. i have never seen an intake for the 4v heads the only solution to that ive seen would be the spacer plates and a 351c 4v intake. 10:1 with a roller cam sounds like fun. or even a stroker 400 to about 430 cid or so could produce almost big block power levels. has anyone actually tried it. thanks Don.
Any aftermarket 4v manifold for a M motor should bolt to the cleveland heads on a M. The spacers you mentioned were made to put a 4v cleveland intake manifold on the Ms before the aftermarket made specific M manifolds available.
i've never seen an intake for the big port cleveland heads on the m engines. the regular m head is the same as a 2v cleveland head. the 4v cleveland head has enormous ports that ive never seen used on a 400.
from what i know you can run 4v heads on the 400 with a aftermarket 4v intake for the 400. you might have to port and polish it to get a perfect match. and for stroker 430 or so never herd of it in a 400 i have herd of offset grinding the crank to a 4.10 inch stroke but requires running chevy BB conecting rods. some one correct me if i am wrong.

There is no intake available that will match the 4V heads without spacers. The only aftermarket 400 intake with enough material around the ports for a port match is the Offy dual port. A port match would have no benefit with this intake since the tapering effect needed for fuel suspension would be ruined completely.
If it fits your budget, Tim Meyer's 434 kit is the ultimate for 400 strokers. BBC rods have large wrist pins and wide journals and require a major amount of mods to have them fit an offset ground crank. A better alternative would be a 4.17 offset, early 240 I6 rods and short compression height pistons from Australia.
