Scary isn't it, up here in the Toronto area they're telling us it could hit 1.50 a litre or about 6-6.50 a gallon this summer.

That V6 idea is looking better all the time!

Know what you mean, just paid my gas bill for last month, $680.00. Can't do that every month. This is going to force some lifestyle changes. About all I am going to use my truck for is when I have to haul something. All other trips (and they will be limited) will be in the car or on the motorcycle. A lot of the larger than life super duty pickups are going to become yard art. You sure can't sell them. We have a Toyota assembly plant in San Antonio which makes the full size trucks. The anounced that they are cutting production because the trucks are not selling. The big three are in the same situation if not worse. Heard that Dodge shut down production for a week because inventory was too big. The only way the gas prices are going to come down is for the consumer to stop buying. Americans have never understood that they can control prices with thier wallet. If every one would single out one major oil company and not buy from them (ie. Exxon/Mobile) they would have to lower prices. Since they are the largest, all the others would have to follow. Good plan but how do you get everyone on the same page.

I have to work out of town and I'm looking at a $150+ fuel bill this week with my V6 Dakota. My diesel suburban is off the road with prices at $4.29 a gallon here in Spokane WA.

our fuel prices are right at the chicago prices . it dont look like there's any releif in sight and our dumb a-- city government wants to add another tax to it to help pay for road repairs , etc. that they already raised other taxes and taxed other things such as cigs , for . if the big co.'s dont get you the freakin' idiots in the gov . offices we elected are !! heres another brilliant idea from our city fathers . they are trying to pass a law or such that they can offer you 50 dollars for any old " junk " car you have and tow it off . geuss i'm gonna have to put the 49 inside and get a shotgun till they take that too . we're getting it from all sides fellas .
