after reading ocboat's post about the RAS (I did not know existed) trying to weigh the pros and cons versus going the airbag route. I already have the air compressor so that would save a few $$ thanks
well thanks for adding another option in there K7 lol I think it is gonna be the bags, This is NOT a rock crawling rig and not worried about articulation so i believe this will be the best setup for me. Has anyone had any problems with there bag?? Thanks for the input
don't know about bags on the X, but i put them on my van, and the most polite way i can put it is i hated them...
they were not needed when not towing, and when towing made handling worse...
ended up with the air pressure so low when towing to get the handle back that all the bags did is increas bounce...
i too had airbags on a van and they put a lot of bounce in the ride but i think this had more to do with cheap shocks,my advice with bags (mine are firestones)is to put on a new high quality shock when you install them.i think you will notice those who like them are running excellent shocks
I ordered the RAS last week and (according to tracking info) they should arrive today or tomorrow. Not sure if I will have the time to install them this weekend, but I hope so.
I currently do not have a sway bar, so I'm anxious to see what the RAS, all by itself, will do to the handling.
We also have our first camping trip comming up (2nd week of April) and I'll be towing for about 300 miles round trip. Although it not a mountainous area, there are some hills and winding roads and interstates involved - so it should be a decent test.

Mark,
It will be interesting to hear your results on the RAS BEFORE the Hellwig.
I've always had a suspicion that the RAS alone will greatly improve side to side roll (i.e. what a sway bar is designed to reduce!) BUT we have not had anyone on here yet install the RAS BEFORE a Hellwig so we cannot say with certainty whether that suspicion is confirmed or not!!!
I await your install and towing reports to hopefully have some data to say one way or the other!...not that a sample of one is a good data set...but right now we have a sample of NONE!
Good luck on the install...PM me if you need anything...

Hope your install goes well, am not looking forward to messing with those axle ubolts. Let us know how you like it. Good luck, John
