Anyone ever cut on a set of Boggers? If so could you recommend some patterns for modding the tires? Minions, I am sure someone has.
I was thinking of cutting each large lug in the middle taking out a .5 inch gap and eliminating the small lug completly. Sound good for deep mud?
Oh and BTW, I have a BBK instacharger in the works for my 4.0. Gonna see if I can snap some axleshafts when I throw 8 psi at it. Trying to get about 275hp out of the little mill. Sounds like fun huh?
Instacharger sounds like its going to be fun, as for the boggers, i think your going in the right direction with the pattern described. But i have no personal expierence with boggers, so i cant say for sure, from the pic of the bogger i saw and the pic i got in my head after your cutting, ithink it would be better in deep mud.
just take the smallest lug out. no need to cut lateral lines. If you want to be really hardcore take out both the small and medium lugs. By that time you might as well buy paddles. Either way Id expect to nuke TTB and 7.5 junk almost immediatly.
I have seen a few different patters, some have just gone and cut the middle out of each lug, I really dont know anyone personally that has ever done it. But 1 thing is for sure I want some more bite in the deep stuff.

I got a 8.8 and dana 35ttb but the 35 has 44 knuckles, with gussets on it. Welded front and rear. No breakage, but I think the Instacharger will do the job. I have accumulated a couple of sets of spare shafts just for the ocassion. Got Boost? I will, very soon.
i agree why not just by some ag tires if you want more grip in the deep chit, i say ya get a set of v treads, ranger with a solid D44 front axle on vtreads= bad ****!
Oh I wont. They would be ok if i was runnin 54s but the size tires that would fit under my truck arent very good. And Mr. Highway Patrol wouldnt like AG tires on the street. I pull it sometimes, but others I drive it to where I am going.
I wouldnt over do it. The most Id ever do personally is take the small lugs out and leave it alone. Remember its going to take power to turn cut boggers. Id think long and hard before I started cutting up a set of boggers. RESEARCH! Pirate and Chucks might be a good place to start because Monsterbaby is the only guy I know of that has/had cut boggers.
I loved my 4.0 but Im not sure even a supercharged one has the torque it takes to keep cut boggers turning in heavy mud. I can feel the strain it puts on george and thats twice the motor.
I hate when I do a mod and Im dissapointed afterwards. Id rather shoot down someones dream than have them do something they'd regret and it cost them later.
The reason your tractor gets stuck is because of wheel speed and weight and nothing (much) to do with the tires. Boggers are useless if you cant spin them.
