My cooler had already failed, thats why I just did away with it. I guess it would of worked the same just blocking off the flange on the cooler but no I know there is no way it can fail
Thanks about the write up. I dont know why the pics wouldnt come up, Its now in the 6.0 tech folder on ford-trucks.com with the pics.
How thick is the blockoff plate that you made? what material is that looks like sheet metal? also did you use a freeze plug for the other end? what size? will I need to weld the round piece in?

here is the pic of the front block off plate that i made, the other one is just a circle.
I think that you should weld in the round piece in the up pipe. the other piece can be installed with silicone on both sides.
the piece that I made, I cut from a larger sheet of 1/16th or 1/8th thick. I can't remember. I made sure it was thick enough though, i used the same metal for the up pipe.
Also new to the site. Just bought a 2006 F350 with the 6.0 Friday. 6.5 miles away from the ford place the Check Engine Light comes on and I did a sharp (sharp for a LB F350 CC) u-turn back to the Ford place. I knew they had replaced the ERG valve before I bought it becaused it had been deleted. Thanks to this site and forum I knew this was a common delete on 6.0s. After returning and running a check it was found the cooler and what ever else had been removed. I kept the truck with CEL on and went on my way. How can I check that the delete was done correct and what tuner is recomended to turn off the CEL? I still want the CEL to work for everything else just not "Low/No Flow EGR"? Thanks for the help..
