Madewell doesn,t your superchip read codes? And if ford changed 2 Injectors because they were no good It is a good chance that the others were not far behind
But I would try to read the stored codes from there these guys can steer you in the right direction
madewell - just reread the original post. its not advisable to tow with superchips top tuning. the egt's get way out of control. youre going to end up melting down a piston. bad situation.
THAT MAY BE, BUT IT HEATS UP THE SAME ON THE STOCK SETTING, BELIVE IT OR NOT. IT DOESN'T HEAT UP AS QUICK, BUT IT DOES HEAT UP TO THE SAME TEMP.

IT DOES, BUT I HAVE NO CODES THROWN. I DIDN'T HAVE WHEN THEY CHANGED THE INJECTORS. THEY ALSO CHECKED THEM ALL OUT, PUT THE UPDATED SEALS IN IT, AND CLEEANED THEM.
I know this is a REALLY old thread, but I was just wondering if this guy ever got it figured out. I just bought a '97 4x4, CC, short bed. I have the same problems madewell describes with no mods at all. I drove it back here to Michigan all the way from San Antonio. Only averaged 12 mpg's through four fill-ups. Worst being 11, best being 14. Cruising somewhere between 65 and 72ish. I replaced the fuel filter and cleaned the fpr screen(both were just nasty) and didn't notice any difference. Like he said...only accelerates through the first inch or so of pedal travel. I know it's only like 215hp, but you could use an egg timer to time the 0-60. I think a Yugo could have me for lunch!
