I have a slow oil leak down the back of my motor. It is dripping from the bell housing of the tranny.
It is oil and it started after i installed my hpx line.
I lost some oil into the valley and it has pooled up under the turbo.
however something continues to leak and I have checked and rechecked the new hpx hoses, they are very tight with the box end wrench I used. I don't see or feel oil coming from them.
I am wondering if something else is leaking. I never had an oil leak before the hpx.
please help any ideas.

Did you clean up the valley yet? There are two orings between the turbo pedestal and the motor they can be leaking. Or look at the rod that goes to the EBPV.
The rod that opens the valve has a piston on it inside the pedestal. The seal on the piston will leak and let oil come out from around the rod. The seal is like a hard plastic that will wear out the soft aluminum bore so replacing the seal might be a waste. What most people do is remove the piston and tap the rod hole to take what i think is a 1/8 NPT plug. It has been a long time since i did it so Iam not sure on the size of the plug.
O, Yea most people also remove the EBPV also. If you go to webshots and do a search you should find many pics on this subject. Gutting the EBPV is easy but getting the turbo off to get to the pedestal is a major PITA so you might want to make sure this is where you oil leak is before you start getting into all this.
Maybe. I have seen oil leaking from the rod hole when I would first start a cold motor. If it is leaking you should be able to see stains under the rod hole. And cleaing up the valley under there will help. SORRY but I just realized I may have had it unplugged when I saw the oil ozzing out so not sure if plugging in will help.
Regardless if the oil is coming from a puddle or from some other place you HAVE to get the valley clean and dry.
Use a roll of paper towels and jam them evey place you can to mop up the oil, spray some brake Kleen in the valley. Once clean then use a GOOD flashlight and a mirror and you will find that leak.
Once found (leak) and you are in need of further assistance, give us another call.
