I wasn't referring to what broke, more about why. I see the DP settings in your sig and I was assuming you occasionally have driving habits that match those bigger tunes may have had something to do with it. Make sure the guys over at BTS know exactly how much you want out of your truck so they can give you a tranny you'll be happy with.
From what I've heard theres a difference in having a chipped truck and having Jody's 140 aggressive tune. Nothing's indestructible if you try hard enough. I was thinking you might have been getting on it in 140 when you started to notice something different. If that's the case, that would be good info to share. As mentioned above, Jody & Brian are known to work well together.
Oh lol, well I was goin to let Jody and Brian know what I was up too so they could get the best outa my truck for me. I dont think the tunes are what killed the tranny, prolly helped lol but it was acting up a little bit before the tunes and ford said it was this and that and the trans was fine. I actually dont use 140 as much as I thought I would when I got it, the pedals kinda touchy with all that extra power it seems to jump a bit. When the trans went out and started acting funny I was driving normally and in the 40 tow setting, and by normal I mean not getting into it at all.

Then it sounds like all you have left to worry about are all the other things you'll want to replace to keep up with Jody & Brian's work. Of course that doesn't make you any different from several other folks here.
Nope, my friend whose got the code reader didnt call me back.....hes got his first real girlfriend so we dont see him much anymore lol I hope to hear from him tomarrow.

That's more expensive than your BTS. My daughter turns 19 tomorrow and she makes that stupid idiot, I mean her boyfriend, pay for everything they do.

Here's the info on the 1670 from the service DVD.

My girlfriend is in college so shes broke so I end up paying for a good amout of the things we do. I dont mind since I know she cant and she does pay her fair share when she can.
Have fun with the "stupid idiot" sounds like you dont like him much...
Hey I got the 1670 code currently right now, no check engine light but there is def a 1670 code. I have read this thread but do not understand why this code would come up all by itself......does all this code do is show you if you have a wiring short or open fuse? Can anyone enlighten me on what this code is all about? thanks

Yes 1670 only seems to do with a fuse or short in the wiring somewhere. Does the truck run fine? Did you follow the testing in the above attachment starting with FJ10? Make sure you don't have a blown fuse, then it's time to start wiggling wires.
Well I have not idea what a breakout box is but it looks like I will just clear the code and see if it comes back first. If it comes back then I will check all my fuses and if that leads nowhere then I guess its the service department. Thanks

A breakout box is simply a plug with wires hanging off the end of it. It allows you to ohm the wires without bending over the motor in an akward position to reach the little pins inside the plug. Unless you're a Ford tech you just have to unplug the connector and check the wires the old fashioned way.
