reverse vehicle sensor aid

i am replacing my 99 f 350 with a new one. it is hard to judge how far to back into a parking space without hitting the car behind me. is this $250 option worth the money?

surgin,

I wish mine had the reverse sensors. If I had ordered new, I would definitely have got them.
Been thinking about adding them but other things I need to spend money on right now.

Good Luck

I did not want them when I bought my truck but the truck I picked out had em, now I love em. sure makes it easy backing into parking spaces. My wifes Tahoe did not have them and after 2-3 weeks she said she sure missed them after driving my truck so I bought some aftermarket ones did the install and she's happy again-at least for a little while!! lol

I like them. I didn't think I would ever have any use for them, and then the latest truck I bought has them on it. They do help when your backing into something close. Worth it IMO.

The $250 is cheaper than a new bumper. I wish I had them...

I love it and wish it had a front sensor as well with the truck as tall as it is sometimes it is hard to tell how close you are.

Thumbs up

Just back up SLOWLY, until the tone goes from beeping to a solid tone. Your at 8 inches. Wouldn't buy another without it.

With a hitch, solid tone means impact is imminent. Just look at my garage door.

Well worth the money, nonetheless.

I have an 06 F250 Crew Cab and those reverse sensors are a blessing.

Like everyone else, I love mine. BUT, if I were ordering a new truck I would get the backup camera instead. Or, get both, but I'm not sure there is any reason to have both. The camera is just too cool.

I installed an aftermarket rear view camera and even though I had the stock reverse sensors.

The rear camera is money well spent

I would never buy another vehicle without them. I have them on my car and my truck. They have saved my *** more than once. However, they can cause bad habits when you are not in a vehicle with them. I have also used the camera in other vehicles. The best option would be to have both the camera and the sensors. The camera is great for showing you exactly what is behind you (obviously) however, judging distance in the camera is near impossible since its a fisheye lens. So using the sensors to tell you exactly how far away from something that the camera showed you would be sweet! Can I get the vehicle assisted parallel parking option while we are at it?
