i pulled the head and found that there is a crack between two valves. i am going to take it to the local machine shop and see what can be done. i went a head and pulled the passenger side off and it looks fine so i am going to have it boiled and magnufluxed to see what is wrong with it.
They are reusable. Allthough the ones near the exhaust manifold do get pitted.
i didn't think most or any of the old motor had torque to yield bolts so i just went with what plc7.3 said about them. i always reuse them in my mustangs

i took the heads to a local machine shop and he said the crack is fine, but i need to have them pressure tested. so i m going to have that done. he also said that the rings around the piston probably cracked and its lettin oil around it. so i will be pullin the piston out to see whats wrong.
