If you keep the factory ball joints greased with a grease injection needle they will last twice as long. But if they are already shot change them as soon as you can. When I bought my truck the left side upper and lower were shot. A tire shop put moogs in and balanced and rotated for $400.00. That was parts and labor. It also included an alignment

I took my truck to Sears this afternoon to get the uppers and lowers replaced. They quoted me around $750 which included an alignment. Well, they just called me a few minutes ago to say that they couldn't change them because they didn't have the right tools. They said I might have to take it to the Ford dealership.
Great! Another thing to add to my list of things to do! I'm not taking it to the dealership. Sometimes I feel like selling it and riding my bike.
Anyway, what balljoint press do you guys recommend? Do you have a manufacturer name or a part# for the tool? Also I remember there being a tech write-up somewhere here where someone went through step by step how to change them. Does anyone have that link? I'll post it if I can find it. Thanks guys.
