If your 4spd has a granny gear, you could tow anything.
You want have any problems with it. Mine will pull house down, then again it does have the T-98a, with a 514 rear gear. The 292 makes its power right were you wont it, for a truck.
The stock cam was designed to give a lot of torque, it was made to pull stumps so to speak. The 4 speed is likely the T98A, it has a granny gear and 4th is 1:1.
