Saw off Single Gibson Muffler-Insert Straight Pipe

I second that. Dual cat back on my '02 5.4 sounds great. A good friend did his Bronco that way after hearing mine. The pipe pieces are available at Autozone or a local muffler shop can cut a piece for you in the desired size pretty cheap. Just cut the old muffler out and mig weld the new in, you'll love it.

why even run a pipe, just leave it dumped under the truck, thats how mine is just cut off right b4 the muffler and left it be, or just get a couple feet of pipe and get a 90 degree bend in it and put it infront of your passenger rear wheel, wont need very much pipe since ur exhaust is already right there basically

Snow hiker, Most of the newer trucks you see with "dual" exhaust are not true dual. The exhaust is comeing out of one pipe and then split. You still have the same sound but it's coming out of two openings. Kinda like a stereo, same song playing, two speakers playing it. It should sound just fine.
