big poppa, since I'm not in a salt belt I think I'll go for the $409 aluminized system and take my chances. My stock system doesn't have any holes in it after 9 years so I think I'll be okay.

At least on the SD's the stock system is stainless IIRC.

You could always cut your exhaust short and run a bend out the side like mine,

jdecker- don't know what it is, but I prefer the behind the wheels exit. I'm about 95% on buying the exhaust in the link I posted, I may even take my truck straight to them for a lower price. I think I'll do the muffler for now and if I decide it's not for me I'll hopefully have some extra pipe left over for a muffler delete.

Thumbs up

I just ordered my 4in exaust from www.automotiveconcepts.net and its a magnaflow s/s it was $314 with delivery. The one I ordered was #17928 which is the 3 1/2 in DP because wanted the bottom end tork. They have the #17979 with 4in DP all s/s for $309 delivered. They have lots of duals also It was the best price that I found after looking for a month. I hope this helps you decide,

Colin

THAT IS A GREAT PRICE! I certainly wouldn't be afraid to buy a Magnaflow. They are pretty well established in the exhaust business.

I've never heard of anyone running a smaller DP for low end power... anyone else have some input on this?
I'm still torn, buy the duals... or buy the gauges... or buy a single AND gauges (but gawd I love duals!)...

Well you could always buy the single and gauges and later add the Y-pipe and the duals Chase.

Well after looking on the internet for two days i got em. www.thoroughbreddiesel.com got really good deals. I bought the mbrp t-409 ss duals with tips and free shipping for 690.00. I really didn't want to spend that much but others wanted 800.00 or more. Like a kid in a candy store, I can't wait for em.

Just do the duals or you will regret it.
