I have a 65 F600 with 8 cyl. The first 4 digits of VIN is F60ML. I can not figure out what size engine does it have. I though it was a Y-block 292 but the distributor is mounted in front of the carb. I read that Y-blocks were opposite Thanks for your help
Okhunt; welcome to FTE; I don't have the capablity to decode; but I was told a 312 Y block was dizzy in front; and a 292 Y block in rear. I can vouch for 292; not 100% sure on 312 or even a 272; I recommend, post your comment on the Y block form.
Additionally; look for engine block numbers' should run something like C5AE etc; whatever it is the first digit will be the 10 series ie. C = 1960's the 5= 1965; hope this helps.
