I recently acquired an F700 and can't find the engine number. Can anybody help?
Welcome to FTE
In the USA there is no engine number (after 1948)...the vehicle is registered by the VIN = Vehicle ID Number.
The VIN will be on a metal plate riveted to either the door face near the latch, or inside the glove box door.
In the US, the VIN has codes for the year, engine size, truck series and assembly plant.
What year is your F700?

Does the grille say F O R D in the center (1961), or is there a 4 pointed star in the center (1962)?
Parts catalog doesn't list a 4V carb for 1962 F700.
But I only have USA resources.
Did you find any ID numbers, either on a metal plate riveted to the door face, on the inside of the glovebox door, or on the firewall?
Is there a triangular shaped tag bolted to the top of the carb?
There are two possible Y block engines, neither share much with the other. There's the 292, and the Lincoln based 302/332.
