Head Gasket Leak

Can you please tell me what the symptoms of your head gasket leak were before you were correctly diagnosed? It seems that it often is not obvious.

My truck had a general feeling of sluggishness. It just didn't have the usual kick. Also, the degas bottle always showed signs of weeping and after a hard run would really leak coolant. Eventually I started to hear a whistling sound from the engine bay and it was pressure escaping the degas. Mine was bad so my symptoms may be worse than most. Good luck.

reblyn - I see you are new here, but if you try doing a search and reading the hundreds of posts on here regarding that same topic, I'm sure you will become well informed on the subject.
