One time puking...

So, if my 6.0 "puked" coolant once from the reservoir cap should I do anything about it??? Or just watch for future puking and mystery coolant loss?

I am still under warranty... I think it was a one time thing on the stock tune when I was really working it pulling close to 20K trailer load a hilly 100 miles last summer. I usually keep the loads under 14k.... No abnormal sounds/smells/coolant loss since then and that includes some hard runs with Matt's ASE tune. I have my EGR turned off but no block off plate yet.

I went out and shoveled the snow off my hood this afternoon... The reservoir look like it's slightly above the max line and I've never added any since I bought the rig new 57K mi ago... That's the ugliest orangy looking coolant I've ever seen... But looking at other rigs the discolored reservoir looks normal.....

Thats like saying your kinda pregnant....Mine puked just once and it was just a little bit.....followed by mystery coolant loss months later. Ther end result was one warped head and replaced head gaskets both sides.

Go in and get the coolant system pressure test done when it is convenient and it would likely cost you a lot less than a big inconvenient tow bill or a huge engine repair bill. If the pressure test is good, then don't look back.

Just my 0.02......Good luck
