performance transmission?
i have recently bought and been working on my 78 f100 351w c4 trans. my trans. is already in 3rd gear at 20 mph and has got the motor wound out pretty tight when i am cruising about 55-60 (it sounds really good) but im worried. i want to be able to haul *** and fly, does anyone have any suggestions on what i could do.

well i don't know much about rear-end gears i have done very little with them. what would 2.75 gears do for me? would it raise my shift points, and should i get an rpm tach to monitor them?

2.75s will rob your low end grunt, and will make your truck turn less RPM going down the freeway. Typically your transmission will hit third gear at or before 28MPH unless you have the throttle pinned.
