77' F-350 Trans Fluid Question
Howdy Ya'll. Im doin the trans fluid on my 77' F-350. 460 W/ C6. I was wondering how I would drain the ENTIRE system of trans fluid. The trans is already drained. So I have to drain the Torque converter and the Trans Cooler, right? Its a Camper Special, so I presume it has a trans cooler. Anyones input?

find the lines feeding the trans cooler from the passenger side of the transmission, disconnect, drain into a bucket. they should at least go into the heat exchanger in the radiator, there might also be an air to fluid cooler behind the grille.
there are multiple ways to get the fluid out of the converter, most common would be to pull the flywheel inspection cover and rotate it until you can find a drain plug (if it has one).

Just did this to my truck. They do(should) have a tq converter drain plug. I dropped the pan, valve body(I did a shift kit). When the VB is off it drips fluid from everywhere! Then rotate the converter so the plug is down. Take it out and let her drain. I only had the radiator cooler so I didn't worry about that. You could use air to blow the lines if you wish. This should get most all the fluid out. Once it is buttoned back up put at least 6-8 qts in the tranny before starting it. It will pump it into the system and fill the converter. Mine took almost 12qts to fill.
