they said they will have them machined at another shop if they need it. i dont think they are that far along yet. that wasnt mentioned in the estimate so that would probably be another charge on top if it is necessary
i went to the dealer to check on my truck. he said they are replacing one head. i asked him how much he would charge to do it on the side. he said $600. i thought that was pretty cheap. he didn't even raise the cab.
You know where all those parts are coming from? A GOOD mechanic replaces any gaskets and o-rings he removes. That means tons of money in extra gaskets. You need all new injector o-rings, egr cooler gaskets, intake gaskets, etc, etc..... I'm just getting into the diesel trade(i'm a ford gen tech now) and my mentor would kill me if I ever did a head job and replaced ONLY the head gaskets.... Though $900 may be a little high....
there was little white spots on the degaus bottle. i didn't notice any performance difference. i originally took it in for an oil leak. btw 04 48,000 miles
