Banks PDA

Well I have a 2004 6.0L Crew Cab 4x4 141K no problems at all.
I was wondering if you can get the Banks PDA WITHOUT the use of the chip.
I just want it to monitor all the vitals of the engine without having gauges all over the place. I havent really been paying attention to the chips and tuners for the 6.0L from what I have been reading is that you get a lot of issues if you do.
Anyone run a Banks chip and have the PDA?
Opinions on it?
Anyone have pics of the PDA in use?
Also
Can you run a 5" straight pipe on a stock truck without having issues.
I was also going to add a air intake with the exhaust too.
I have been looking at MBRP for the exhaust.
Thanks

Stick with the stock intake, it'll help prevent turbo damage. It filters far better than any aftermarket units and is good for upwards of 500hp.

I think you have to run the tuner, but you can go with the dashawk. http://www.dashhawk.com/ or the dashdaq. http://dashdaq.com/

I guess there hasn't been a lot of rave reviews on the Banks tuner. If you do a search you'll find a lot of problems have come with it. It doesn't like the Torqshift tranny. As for running a straight pipe with stock tuning you're fine. Many people on here run this set up, either 4 or 5 inch. MBRP is good and highly recommended.

I love my banks 6-gun, plenty of power, smooth shifting and a slight increase MPG. I don't have the PDA though.

Yeah I just wanted to see if I could get the PDA to only monitor the vitals of the engine. Guess I'll go with the gauges.

You can get the PDA for like 290$ I think, plus egt thermocouple($?). Most people will suggest you don't use the six-gun that's all. Don't be so bummed out man. It's your truck. You can really do whatever you want. Also, I could be giving you crap info because I've never used the Banks stuff.
