I was looking at the Banks Power website and they have a PDA that can control the engine settings, et cetera. I was wondering if Troyer - or anyone offers - or is going to offer - something similar for the vehicle I have, the 2006 F250 5.4L gas. I've ordered the XCAL2 and I'm wondering if the software can be installed in a PDA and have it run the same way as the XCAL2 module does.
I'm thinking of installing/fabricating a way to install my PDA on top of my center console and thought it would be great if the tuner software could be installed in that PDA and be able to change tunes on the fly while in the vehicle - as well as do everything else a PDA can (take notes, calendar, etc...)
Edge's setup is going to be the closest for a while. Sniper is working on a full featured PDA/PC called Spartan, but that is the only system I have seen for gas motors. Even the spartan hasn't been released yet. The bigest problem you'll find is the different O/S for PDAs. Palm and Windows Pocket PC are the two I know about, but there aren't many people programming for them in the auto industry.
