I guess if you REALLY like pdas, then maybe its for you, but for me, digital guages wouldnt cut it. Watching a number spin up from 200 - 1200 would be a PITA. I really prefer mechanical gauges. Secondly, if you need to put a boost regulator on, so you dont defuel, I wouldnt think the boost gauge would read over 22 psi, or whatever you have the boost regulator set too for the map. (assuming the pda gets it from the map sensor) IMO banks is over priced for what you get, but if really like the pda then thats what you want. Do they put in a thermo coupler for the pyro or were does it get its info for egts? I wouldnt expect the same thing out of your truck, as what your friend saw out of his 6oh, especially without any other supporting mods.... Im sure one of the sponsers sells them, but IMO youd be better off, get more power, and spend less without banks products.

you can not buy the PDA version of the 6 GUN like on the 6.0
the 7.3 engine you have only accepts the 6 Gun tuner
the 6.0 have more on-board sensors for the PDA to display
I have the BANKS Monster exhaust and Gauges, they are good, just a bit on the pricey side vs a lot of other great exhaust systems and Autometer gauges

DP tuner is the FAV here for the 7.3
I have a DiabloSport Predator programmer, it even displays and clears DTC's
real time engine specs displayed as well

A custom chip a good set of gauges and you'll not only be cheaper, but better off as well. You'll get more HP &TQ from DP,DI,TS custom chips. I've used Banks & Edge both. They're too expensive. If you ever need customer service from Banks, YOUR SCREWED!! Edge customer service on the other hand was always great. This was my experience with Banks. I know some of the guys here use and like the Banks stuff. So if I've offended anyone with my view's or opinoins I do apologize.. Take care guys..Country

ya i believe im going to go with the dp rtuner with two positions: the 60hp tow mode (to haul my mud truck) and the 140hp to have a lil fun every now and then lol but i have two questions about that i was looking on the website and it says there is a 140hp extreme level then a 140hp "smoke" level... whats the difference? which one porduces better power if any? also is the dp tuner a change on the fly type chip? can you change positions from the cab or what? cause i would also like a chip that can do that so i can drive on the lower level then wen i wanna have some fun just crank it up for a lil bitty. thanks for all the help.

I believe the only diffrence between the 140 extreme and 140 smoke is that the smoke tune rolls alot of coal, hence it being called the smoke tune. No diffrence in HP but its just one of those cool tunes you can get if you get a Dp-Tuner.

Yes the Dp-Tuner is a on-the-fly-adjustable in cab controlled tuner.

If you go with the Dp- you wont regret it, trust me

Put in gauges first.

Once you romp that 140 smoke and watch your pyro you'll know why I am telling you this.

I would strongly suggest getting a vavle body from BTS to match that chip. They will program both to match. Makes for much better shifting and power to the pavement. Also it will help the tranny to control all that new found torque.

Yes scott i know what you mean. In that setting, performing a low-speed, high-load tire-life-shortening maneuver i looked down at the guage and within 15 seconds my EGT was higher than i ever saw it before, 1425.
