Door Switch

I think my driver side door switch is going bad causing the "Door ajar" light to come on sometimes; and other times causing the cab light to stay on after I get out. Can someone please tell me where it is located and how to replace it?

I had the same problem last winter. Just spray some wd-40 in the door hinges. That took care of my problem right away.

Spray WD40 in where the door lock is on the door. Work it in. Should loosen up the door switch....

Spray the latch real good, open door about a dozen times and it should clear up. Repeat if needed.

Spraying with WD40 as you folks said seems to have fixed it. Thanks!

I had the sensors replaced in the front doors and now the windows are slower rolling up or down during the winter cold.

Dave.

Will I have to take the door panel off to replace the sensor if it happens again?

yes you will. you have to worm your hand way bac in there, but it is doable without removing the lock assembly.
