Has he tried looking into the Lemon Law? I just wonder what is going on w/ the fuel system (or the high pressure oil system) to cause these problems. Did he get any explanations on the last six / seven sets on how they are failing and the possible causes?
- are they sticking? What symptoms was he having to cause him to take it in?
- are the injectors scarred when removed?
- experiencing any low fuel pressure? running it to empty?
- using poor quality fuel / oil and not changing filters?
- using any non-recommended fuel additives (methanol, acetone, etc)?
- is it heavily modded so that Ford will have an out on a buy-back?

We can't help you much without information (other than someone sharing their personal Lemon Law experience). Unless you get into troubleshooting the root cause, the surest way to avoid $$'s on his own dime would be a Ford buy-back.

not a solution for his problem but would help in repair bills. he should look into getting an extended warrenty 7ry/200k. you have to purchase the warrenty before you roll over 100k.

Great advice from Adambomb. Take it if he is going to keep the truck.

The injector systems on the 6.0L need to be operated and maintained well for good life. Some suggestions:

Hi,

I was reading the post and wanted to put in my 2 cents.

Thanks for the reference to Hot Shot's Secret.

We are getting great feedback from people using Hot Shot's Secret for maintenance of their Ford Power Stroke trucks.

Hot Shot's Secret was formulated to correct the issue with the injectors in the engine. It also does a tremendous job of keeping the issue from returning.

If the injectors in your truck are creating performance issues I would encourage you to check out Hot Shot's Secret at Lubrication Specialties | Diesel Motor Oil | Primrose Engine Oil | Fuel Additives | Oil Additives | Engine Restore|

I hope this info is helpful!
