Well, your description is a bit vague. Did you lose all power or just some power? Did the engine die? Was there any unusual noise associated with the power loss? Did the check engine light come on? Need details.

So thats a pretty vague description. Was it a total loss of power or just a partial loss? Any noises associated with the power loss. Did the check engine light come on? Need more info.

You guys are all right and all wrong at the same. Except leave it stock guys. Or change it all guys. Lol the truth about performance upgrades is you gotta commit to the upgrades. Just an intake, or exhaust or a 89 gas tune. Even exhaust to a certain extent. You have to do it all so see the money pay off. I'm talking the 91/93 octane tune with the CAI and the exhaust and y pipe change. And for extra mid range do the headers too. Re gear te truck for lifts or tire change at least 4.88 if doing 35s. And you will be driving a v10
Monster. People get thrown off because it's
Not like the diesel tunes lol. Don't plug in and get 155 hp. But you will notice and want
More. My 08 f150 has all this and more and was in the low 13s. High 12s. In 1/4 mile b4 I put a Gt 500 monster in it.

My 5-star tune made a big difference, it just works better. No idea if the hp changed, the mpg didn't much if any, but it just works better. Much more crisp in performance tune, not mushy like stock. Got to use the tow tune finally and it keeps the rpm up much higher where the engine makes its power, and its great. Haven't done anything other than put new plugs/boots in which got rid of a miss.

I'm calling BS on this unless "all this and more" was nitrous or a turbo. You'd need over 400 horsepower to be at that speed.

Didn't hurt that it has a gt 500 bottom end then spit shinned the top end and added a whipple supercharger stage 3 customed tuned in San Diego. Lol but even b4 that with the governor off 125. Just took alot more.

keep the 8000 lbs excursion stock unless you are pulling everyday. if you want speed get yourself something a little lighter like an f150 and do all the mods. once you start the mods you need to go all the way. I had a 88 mustang GT convertable with all mods and ened up selling it because once you start you need to continue with the next greatest and better mod. LOTS of MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
