Hi 3cv: I hope you're well. Thank you again for being honest and forthright while I was looking at your Excursion. I apologize for any inconvenience or frustration I may have caused you along the way. Glad it sold!

After much consideration, research, stretching my budget, several test drives and pre-purchase inspections, I finally settled on my new vehicle: a 2013 GMC Yukon XL 2500 with the 6.0L gas V8 and 6 speed transmission. It only has a hair less torque (for my purposes) than the 6.8L Excursions, drives a little better, and is just a newer vehicle. It's the latest, greatest heavy duty SUV sold to the public, and a prime candidate for a Duraburb conversion if I find $45k under a rock somewhere. Not cheap, though.

My old Denali is for sale on Craigslist.

Best of luck to you and your family in all your endeavors.

    Cheers,
    XMIT - Jose S.

Hi! Tried to reply but doesn't like me. I can be reached at james.bryan.pearson on g then mail.

Glad it's still available: Mind a few ques?

    - Could we meet at AUS?

    - Plates: In CA, they stay w/car; old owner mails release, new owner keeps bill of sale. In MD they must be pulled immed, forcing meeting at DMV. Hope TX is like CA!

    - Is the driver's seat heater ok?

    - How's the smell? Dogs/carsick kids/mold/etc? Not a deal-breaker, just "learned the hard way"!

I'll search forum re your mods (I bet I figure out what I don't recognize) + check pieces on my end. I'd love to make it easy - fly in, hand over cash, head out.

I'm in the CA Bay Area, moved back from MD. Moved to MD in 08, bought a Craigslist 97F250 blind, flew out, towed my boat east. Moved back, now with two to tow west - I've aged enough to want heated seats, an auto, and some NVH control!

    Thoughts? Thanks!

    Jim
