Like most of us I'm always thinking of ways to increase performance as well as mpg. Has anyone installed the Hypermax Air Induction? What has it done for you? I emailed Hypermax with a question about the product. They did not give me a whole lot of detail other than it attaches to the firewall and then to the KN air filter on my Banks Sidewinder. I would have pictured it attaching to the front grill somewhere, not the firewall. Any experience with this product or others would be appreciated. Thank you.

I did a quick search on this forum and some of my questions are answered. I'm still puzzled how you can get cooler air from the firewall rather than the front of the engine. Also any real world comments about performance or mpg's?
I made my ram air from the grill area instead of spending money on an intake.
From what I understand of the HyperMax system, you are cutting a hole through the firewall into the channel where the heater gets it's air from.
There is a higher pressure area at the bottom of the windshield.
The fact that you get an increase in air flow from the heater the faster you go does prove there is pressure there.
Also back in the late 60's and early 70's Chevy used a cowl induction setup on several of their cars and claimed better performance than the front facing scoops everyone else was using.
That statement was probably true, the stock scoops were so short that they were more for looks than function.
But I am not sure how much pressure is actually there compared to the grill area.
