cowl air induction

Has anyone ever taken the hypermax cowl induction for a turbo and hooked it to the stock air cleaner? If so how does it work? If not do you think it will work? I wanted to make an intake but with the snowplow hydraulics on my truck going out the stock hole is not an option. So the next best place it the cowl. When I saw this on hypermax website I thought if this will work for $68 it would sure beat making one. Thanks

Though the web site is confusing there is a Hypermax cowl induction kit for non-turbo 6.9 & 7.3's, it is the first on on the page, the second one is for the turbo.

I was thinking about installing a snorkle. With a larger opening to funnel more air in. Coming in through the side of the fender. If that is not enough how about 2, one on each side.

Any thoughts???

cant remember who posted it a while back, but there was a dual ram air snorkle setup that scavaged tthe snorkle from another filter can and running tubes through the fenderwell to where the parking lights/turn signals go and opening up that area and fabbing an intake snorkle for those holes. they put LED lights in for parking lights/turn signals. there were extensive photos in their gallery but i just can't remember who it was. looked pretty straightforward.
