You are right the fuel rail one is... the handle which may make a door open if you come into a crash... less so.
You made me re-read the link:
"The problem could prevent the door handles from returning to a closed position, but the latches work properly, said Ford spokesman Wes Sherwood. However, in a side crash, there could be a risk of the door latch opening because of the problems, he said."
I didn't read past the "latches work properly" the first time.
Kinda a weird statement IMHO.........they work properly but there's still a risk......... :
These are preemptive recalls. No accidents, or problems. They know that there could be a problem, so they have a fix. Recall the vehicles and deal with it! I like that thinking. They are being good corporate citizens! And I appluad them for doing so!

Recall affects spring in door latch, and neoprene fuel rail hose.
The new GM full sized SUV's are being investigated for fires, regardless of whether the engine is running or not. Several homes have burned, but no one hurt...yet.
Bye bye Infiniti QX56, Titan and Armada...rumor has it that they're being canceled.
Before you say it...my now ex-Titan was traded in on Sunday for a 2008 midsized SUV from an American HQ'd US domestic automaker.

I spent two weeks researching and driving every midsized SUV sold in the US (except the Chrysler products).
Most were too small, some were pure crap. It came down to an Edge or the GM trio.
Try as I might, I couldn't make a deal on an Edge. The Ford dealers here just wouldn't bargain at all.
It was a grand off MSRP for the Edge, and what they offered for my trade was ridicilous. I'm too large to fit in an Explorer, and the Expedition is too big.
The local GM dealer not only gave me 3 grand off MSRP, but the rebate, and the KBB price for the Titan.
So now...y'all can flame me for buying a GM SUV.
