Again, the question was to a certain member why he thought the Edge was so nice. Was the ONLY reason because it was a Ford or does he ACTUALLY prefer it over the class leading Murano.. .......if he knew that it rode on a Japanese designed chassis (regardles of what you and I think of the % of contribution) would it change the outlook?
How is the Murano class leading? Doesn't the Edge already outsell the Murano?
Honestly, I'm not sure if Edge outsold the Murano for all of 2007, but the Edge handily outsold the Murano over several of the later months.

It's actually a class of vehicle I could not care any less about.......I based "class leading" on the magazine shoot outs. (that's also where I read it was overweight)
You might remember a bout of fires consuming a handful of Ford trucks, SUVs and cars that was due to a faulty cruise control switch that could ignite even if the vehicles were parked. General Motors is apparently having a similar issue, and although it doesn't involve the same cruise control system, the potential outcome – a car fire – is the same.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is looking into the 2007 GMC Yukon after two of the SUVs caught fire while parked in the owners' garages with the ignition turned off. The issue could affect some 423,000 vehicles, but according to a GM spokesperson, the automaker doesn't think it's a widespread pattern or trend. The NHTSA will have the final word on that, we suppose.
(if it matters, I think the Murano may be even uglier than the Edge....don't tell Bill I wrote that.)
Have you seen the 2008 Murano? It''s even uglier than the previous model!
The grille on the 2008 Murano...what a mixed up hash...it looks like the teeth of a punchdrunk pugilist!
I like the Edge's styling, but the local dealers 'round here weren't willing to deal much...most of the Edge's are loaded with all sorts of equipment I didn't want...so I didn't buy one.
My wife leases her cars because her company pays half the cost..she currently has a 2005 Murano...it's HER choice...not mine...in order to keep peace in the family she can lease whatever she wants.

I was just teasing you.............I know you've commented on the Murano's looks before.
I "ALMOST" think the Nissan has an AMC Pacer look to it.
