Project on hold...
Just did my taxes, seems like Uncle Sam sees fit to rip me a new one this year... Damn it, i just won a bet with my wife to get a Sharpe FX3000... What i get for paying my bills, scraping by on a 30year old truck and staying in the black... My funds are toast for the next couple of months. Sorry for griping, but this chaps me...

I DEFINITELY feel your pain! I've been there so many times throughout my 58 years that I just get to be a grouch this time of year.
I have proposed for years that there should be no withholding. Make everyone come up with their taxes in a lump sum at some point once a year. If this hapenned, then people would FEEL how they are ripped off by the government and start looking harder at what it is used for.
The politicians think that the tax revenue is THEIR money, when in fact it is YOUR money. If everyone did start looking harder at how their money is redistributed to those who are too lazy to get out of bed in the morning and go to work it would be pure anarchy.
That is not to say that I think that folks that sincerely need help shouldn't get it. I am proud to help people that are TRULY in need. I just can't stand watching the socialistic redistribution of wealth that is getting worse with every new session of Congress.

Hey, I will be getting that big 600 dollar tax rebate. Yep, That is sure going to make up for lower wages, companys not giving raises. benefits, pensions anymore, less available jobs, skyrocketing heating and fuel cost, and todays cost of health insurance.
I get a kick out of how the government, if you owe them money. from the money you earned, there are stiff fines and interest charged, but if they owe you something back, you only get exactly the dollar amount.
