Question

Engine Year?

I just bought a replacement engine for my 1987 F-150. Its a 302, and it came out of a 1972 F-150 but it wasn't the original engine for this truck either. I got a number off of it to get a seal-kit. But I need to find out what year it is, the number is OF 1827 17. can anyone tell me what year this is, or how to find out?

All 302 blocks are the same from 1968 to 1995. I wouldn't think it matter what year it is in order to get a seal kit for it.

Get the casting number off it.. down near where the starter would be.
