DIY Stage 2's are in!!!

Well, once again Jim at DIY-Injectors has outdone himself. As always the products and customer service are top notch. Everything was labeled clearly and and packaged excellent. I also got to demo a new tool he has come out with to torque the two halves of the injector body together allowing you to use a torque wrench. The tool was most excellent and well thought out. So those of you going to purchase a kit from him can look forward to a new tool in the tool box. Cudo's to Jim!

The performance.........Holy Crap!!!! Without programming the power gain was huge! Great throttle response, and of course smoke! Not too bad without programming.

With programming (DP-Tuner) FIND SOMETHING TO HOLD ON TO!!!! When I lay into it in 2nd gear, the truck breaks traction and starts to hop like mad. (I need to build new traction bars bad!) But the boost gauge tries to break the pin off at 30psi. I can't imagine what it will do with programing for the 2's as my chip is still set up for S1's. The truck is smooth as silk at idle. But a little laggy on the turbo. But that's because my programing is not correct. I'll get Jody to straighten that out for me soon. And the smoke in my 120hp program.....OMG, there has already been a few trucks behind me that had to stop and change their in-cab filters!!! IT ROLLS THE COAL!!! And in my 40hp program the smoke is controllable, kinda. But again, programming. And as far as EGT's, I haven't sustained a long wot run because I believe the clutch is already slipping or I'm running out of HP oil. But no cel thus far on my 15* pump. But I'm having my 17* modified by Terminator Engineering and should have it later this week. And I'll talk more about that in another thread. But all I can say is there is gonna be alot of guys with 94.5 and 95 powerstrokes that want to hear what I have to say about this pump mod. I just have to make sure on what info Joey wants me to give out. So stay tuned for that.

FUEL MILEAGE WITH THE NEW INJECTORS.........I HAVE NO IDEA!!!!! I DRIVE LIKE A JACKAZZ MOST OF THE TIME. When I take a long trip, I'll let you know. But I don't have my Gear Vendors in this truck yet, so that's another factor as well. But I just want to be clear about that, I don't know on the fuel mileage.

I guess that's it. I'm extremely happy with my DIY Stage 2's. Later

Jake, we gotta get together if nothing else just to give you your keyless module. Actually, I gotta send off a bunch of stuff in the morning. I'm gonna call and get your address. Hopefully I won't wake you up.

BBW, no, no twins or triple. For some reason I feel the need to collect them when I see them. Actually they just came off core engines I've bought in the past for parts.

I just did stage 1's and got almost 18 mpg upwind between 65-70 on a 200 mi. trip on Bio-diesel. It looks like it drops out to about 10 if you stick the spurs in. Good job!

Jacksfirstdiesel How do you like the stage 1'S I ' m thinking about them or maybe like rubberduck did and go for the stage 2's. How much power are we talking? Big gain, little gain? Just trying to plan this out thats all.

I went with stage 1s. The reason.... simple less supporting mods=less money. I can still pull heavy with these injectors with the chip turned down , yet I can turn that switch to play with ricers.

The gain you get from them? Just imagine how your truck first acted with your new chip or programmer....... its that plus more on top of the chip alone.

Ditto that foreman- I was fixing my worn injectors and it just made to much sense to go with stage 1's rather than just the overhaul. I don't want huge power because I didn't want to start breaking other things. There is plenty o power for me. I also live in Cali- to much loud smoke could mean trouble wit da law
