Well sure, factory ratings...
But we all know that those are wrong i was hoping for some real world numbers from people who have dynoed (please specify engine or chassis dyno)
For example, a Mopar 426 Hemi is rated at 425 hp/450 ft/lbs torque but we have dynoed a freshly rebuilt (to stock specs) Hemi at 510 hp and 570 ft/lbs torque. That was on an engine dyno.
Everyone knows that before 1970 the factory downplayed the engine power specs for insurance reasons, and after the switch to net (off the chassis as opposed to off the flywheel) HP ratings in the early 70's (plus all the emmisions crap) that they often switched between exagerating and downplaying the #'s to please the government. This is true for the musclecars i work on and id assume its true for these trucks too...
Like my 460 in my 250. I dont know what it came out of i bought it in the truck.Im not saying its rated at 500 hp but im sure it has more than 210-220 hp. Would it be off the wall to say its close to 3?
