If the headers are from a 351C 2V engine then yes, they will fit the head exhaust bolt pattern of the 351M/400 engine. Otherwise they will leak unless an adapter plate is used to prevent leakage with the bigger 4V ports. Sanderson headers in Calif. makes a set of shorty headers for the 351C 4V heads and sells them with the needed adapter. Been running a set for a couple of years now.
Since trucks never came with a 351C, you might have a hard time getting any 351C headers to fit a truck... Might get lucky with the shorties though...
If you are buying them new, buy for 351M/400 for the year your truck is. I have a set made for the year of my truck, but never put them on!
In my 74, I have a 351c with full lenght headers ordered for a 73 msutang and they have the clearance on the chasi and floorpan. Problem was the tranny crossmember. Had to cut and weld u shaped pass throughs since the headers end up right at the midle of the crossmember. That worked well.
My 78 on the other hand has a 351m with long headers and they go right below the crossmember thus no cutting necessary.
