So here's my dilemma. I have a 351C 2V engine in my 71 f-100. And that was never an option. So there are no bolt on headers for it. I have to get creative.
Option 1:
A 351M & 400 use the same style ports. So those headers would bolt on to the C motor. But they were taller engines, in a different generation truck. So modifications may be required.
Option 2:
I could get headers for a 302 in a 71. But the flanges would need to be cut off and 351C flanges would need to be fitted.
Option 3:
351C headers for a torino/ranchero, mustang/cougar, montego/cyclone, and bang them up to fit the truck.
I'm trying to figure out which option would work best. I'm asking here, because you dentside guys had the 351M and 400 motors, as well as 302s, and your trucks are basically the same shape as my 71.

But I'd really like to have long tubes with no larger than 1-3/4 primary tubes. It's not really a race engine. Just a powerful truck motor. Torque and scavenging is what I'm after.
And shorties wouldn't really make too big a difference over the Manifolds.
You sure the flanges are the same?
I'm certainly no expert on the M vs C flange but it at least seems like fun to try. Especially with a cheap set of headers like that.
