I love tractors as much as trucks. 1953 Jubilee and 1948 Farmall Super A. I rebuilt them from ground up. I farmed row crops with the Farmall after my daddy-in-law wore it out three times farming tobacco. I sold both of these and bought me a new Ford tractor a couple years ago. I wish I had a building about 5 acres so I could keep everything I ever owned.
I collect farmall M and H tractors, also old 1 row IH cotton pickers that were mounted on farmall tractors. i am on the YT (yesterdays tractors) forum a lot also. i call myself jess in ca there.
Used to run a '58 w/ a 223 I-6 in her for a friend to keep his Riding Arena cleaned up, soft & as rock free as practicable.
But then he had to go & up-grade to a '90 something I-H, Took all the fun out of it for me after that.

A long time ago, I would get in my truck and find old dead tractors to rebuild and sell. You would be amazed at how many folks buy these little 8 and 9 ford tractors to try and clear land with. They would buy a 8n tractor and a 5 bush hog. First thing that would happen is they would get it too hot. Then off to the weeds it went. Until ol jc came along to buy it for $300. I bet I have rebuilt and bought and sold well over a hundred of these tractors. They were a blast to work on ,and even more fun driving them aound in the yard sporting a fresh overhaul and new paint.Ah yes traveling down memory lane. Nice tractors.
I have owned/used my current 1951 Farmall Cub since 1978. It has done all kinds of work while I have owned it. It is and has always been my snowfighter. I have plowed my driveways with it since 1978 and never missed a season. I completly rebuilt the engine about 15 years ago and converted it to 12 volt. It will probably be with me for the duration. I cosmetically restored it from the transmission forward when I disassembled it for the engine build and alway intended to do the back 1/2 but have not gotten there. They were/are great small tractors.
they're cool but if i drug one home , and i think i spotted one lamenting away in a feild up by mason city like the grey one in the first photo , my neighbors would finally have proof that i really am either related in some way to fred sanford , or just a crazy city bound redneck ... take your pick .
I know I have a lot of fun helping out on my buddies family farm (where my horse is boarded), they have two old 8N's that get used on a regular basis and I've enjoyed helping out with them. I hope that before too long I can track down one of my own, either that or buy one of the 2 from them if they ever upgrade.
