I have a 93 F150. Last night, I took my truck for a drive to pick something up. On the way back, I had the following issues: brake light & ABS lights on, no radio, no speedometer, or odometer, & no blinkers. It was late, so I just parked it and went to bed. I came home from work tonight and it was working fine.
I had a similar problem -the ignition switch was not in the correct position-my truck had no speed indicator-1995 though-and my trans-e4od shifted like I was hit from behind with a mack truck-
Speedo, odometer, abs, and brake light could be the vss. It seems funny that your radio, and blinkers would go with them too.
The VSS controls the first 4.
I think I would look for a bad ground if it all happend at once though.
Wouldn't hurt to check the VSS though.
check and see if the connector came loose on the column. I had the same problem. I had just replaced the column and didn't realise that if for got to plug it in ontil I got pulled over.
Along the lines of ABD when the abs light is on that looks like ((ABS)) is that an erroe or telling that its ready? My uncle has a 1995 f150 and his abs light is on all the time
Check the thread titled: hitting unlock turns off lights... It was very close to that. My brothers truck is having some similar issues and there was another guy that was having the same issues as well. He had found one short of some sort behind the fuse panel, i just cant remember it all.
