I came home from work today and went to get my ears lowered when I noticed my 4x4 light indicator on the dash was on..the truck was in 2H according to the switch selector on the dash console...I cycled through to see if I could get the truck to engage and it would not engage in either 4H or 4L...anyone with suggestions on why the light is on and then why it would not engage into 4 wheel drive? if i were a betting man i would count on either a) that switch or b) the solenoid that actually does the shifting. . Mine are all levers so i don't have much experience with the electric kind...and don't intend to....
might check the plugin to the transfer case... mine did somthing similar when i had it upluged....maybe its corroded or broken from hiting somthing...worth a look.
Well I just ruled out the switch..thanks for the suggestion...I am going to take a look at the transfer case electric when I can see it...I am almost for sure it is electrical...as long as it gets me to work still I can take my time on this one...2-wheel is better than no wheel...Thanks again for the suggestion
