I really like the dipricol gauges but they dont have a water temp gauge(that I could find). They do have a trans temp gauge, 100-280*F range. It comes with a 1/8" NPT sender, is that the size of the spare hole in the waterpump? A temp gauge is a temp gauge, right.
The hole in the WP is either 1/4 or 3/8th can't remember which but the two temp gauges I have bought (autometer) came with the need bushings to make it work.
Well i'm back with another question. Due to my recent fiscal situation, and the amount of supporting mods needed to take full advantage of a chip, im thinking of just getting my pcm reflashed. I called a few ford dealers and they wanted $90-$100 for a reflash. I know DP does reflashes to stock or to an optional program. Since I have a 94.5 with A or AA injectors, 15*HPOP, and other items that limit me to a realistic 40HP gain total. DP offers stock, 20T,40T,60T,80T,100performance,120R & up.
*Since I can only support 40HP max, should I just get a 40T program or 60T?
*Tow settings are stronger down low compared to econo settings, correct?
*Last, will I lose any mpg going with a tow program compared to a stock reflash or just leave the BEG8 code PCM that I have now?
I back again, but I did talk to Jody @ DP Tuner.
He said the max increase in rwhp they've seen is 90HP. He also said since this is a daily driver that I should just get the 80 econo tune. There would also be a slight mileage increase too, which is great since my best so far was 21mpg highway.
Now my question:
Does anyone have a certain HP tune in both Tow and Econo? How does the difference feel? Im guessing the Tow has more power from idle. But where does the Econo powerband kick in?
