Was it braded or solid line? If he had the solid I would have purchased it from him instead...

It was braded but so are the stock feed lines so it does not really worry me. The stock line have lasted ten years now. What is the advanage of the solid line?

Lightbulb

Mine is also from Tymar, and he has stated that the best place to connect the HPX is in the last plugs in the rails but in the drivers side is impossible, so you have to choose the next one, and when you move the stock line from there, the stock connector is 90*, and the new one for that line is straigth, so there are less friction and better flew of the oil and that is better in teory. For that reason and been agree with what blake 7.3L wrote, I choose Tymar line instead the solid line.

I read sometime back when the solid ones first came out that there were some concerns with metal fatigue due to vibration. Do we have any higher mileage betas that can confirm or dispel this?

I can see that happening. And over time the hot cold cycle might lossen things up and cause leaks with the soild pipe because of exspansion and contraction. A hose would flex and stand up better.

HPX MODE.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>

<o> </o>

This hose is used to bridge the 2 high pressure oil rails in the heads that feed the injectors on the 7.3L Powerstroke.
The installation of this hose will typically smooth out rough idles as the ICP can now sense the pressure in both heads, quiet the engine, as well as provide improved oil flow to the injectors.<o></o>

<o> </o>

This kit is intended for installation on a power stroke engine to ensure that the high-pressure oil rails receive the same amount of high-pressure oil from the high-pressure oil pump. The result of installing this kit includes, but is not limited to, a quieter running engine, smoother idle, and more responsive throttle. This kit is recommended to all power stroke owners from model year 1994 through and including the 2002 model year. <o></o>

This kit will NOT eliminate what is commonly called “cackle” or “idle knock”. One side effect of this kit after installation is that the engine runs quieter. This allows you to hear other potential problems in your engine that were previously covered up by engine noise.<o></o>
