BG fluid

Need opinions on BG synthetic trans fluid. I'm thinking about doing a trans. flush on my F-250 with 53,000 miles. I'm not sure if the fluid meets SP standards. thanks

Amsoil has a synthetic that meets SP standards. A friend of my dad's is a dealer and put in in his Torqshift, then my dad did the change about a month ago. Shifts better now and neither truck has had any problems.

If you have a 5R110W transmission, use only Mercon SP. No other synthetic meets the standards of Mercon SP.

If you have a 4R100 then Mercon V or suitable replacement (like Amsoil) is great.

Uh, you should do a search on this, there are lots of threads about using Amsoil in the Torqshift, and the concensus is NO! I would go to the '03-'07 PSD forum and check/ search/ read before I used Amsoil. Just my .02

Well, my dad's friend who is an Amsoil dealer has been running it for over two years now with no problems.

Heres some reading for you, unless your dads buddy is Brian Cooper then you probably already have your mind made up. Good reading though. Anyones Torque Shift tranny fail using non SP ATF? (
