time means absolutely dick when it comes to tread life. great example... i have had my iroks for a good 5-6 years however the first 6 months i wore down half the tread driving to skool and back (retarded, i know) which was about 25 miles round trip. so in essence, i could say "my iroks have been on my truck for 5 years and they still have 1/4 of the tread left!" but it wont mean anything!

i am in the same boat as you guys, i am looking for tires except i am trying to decide b/t 42 iroks, 42 sx's, and 44 sx's. price doesnt bother me considering how long i have had the iroks and how long (more than likely unless i slice a sidewall) i will have the next set! probably longer than i will have my next set of tires on my DD!

Like when you ask people what kind of gas mileage their car gets and they tell you they fill it up once a week or how many miles they get on a tank, but have no idea how big their tank is. I want to strangle people when I get an answer like that, but I guess miles driven/gallons filled up is beyond their comprehension level.

right? People ask me how much it is to fill up my truck and i'm like 'it doesn't matter how much it costs to fill up, its how long I can drive it'. They don't get it.

I bought a little corolla for a gas mileage mobile. I have to drive a couple hundred miles a week, so driving my 77 F100 was getting EXPENSIVE. IF I keep it under 70 mph and all hwy I can get 40 mpg. Town/hwy is around 35-36.
