Are there more than one type? A guy says this one is uncut around the radio, and just needs a faceplate. All the ones I've seen have the smaller opening and holes for shafts.
I've never seen one like that that hasn't been cut. Mine does NOT have that large gap that would fit a common cd player in it and it is original to the truck. My deck isn't original but shaped to fit the same holes as the original AM only and includes that type of face plate that you can put over it as well. Mine's not on it mostly because it got put in a box and brake fluid leaked on it and made the plastic extremely brittle.
1 Vent delete and radio delete
2 Vent delete with radio cut out(will have 2 molded holes in the face plate if uncut)
3 Vent with radio cut out (with the same molded holes as above)

I have to disagree about the above pictured bezel. I have one out of a 1/2 ton that is not cut. I'm having trouble posting a photo but there's one in my gallery under exhaust. It still had the original AM radio when I removed it. The part number is: D3TB I0045C90.

Reason: Photo did not show up.
That one has been hacked out to accept a modern radio
This is not correct. It is UN-cut.
1973-1977 bezels are different than 1978-1979 bezels. 1973 to 1977 bezels have one big hole for the radio, and then a separate shaft-style faceplate covers the hole. 1978 to 1979 bezels have the radio faceplate permanently integrated into the bezel. All 1973 to 1977 trucks use the separate faceplate to finish the radio covering. There were two types of faceplates - metal and plastic.
grnlzrd, that first picture is an uncut 1973 to 1977 bezel. When you install it, there is supposed to be a large hole over the radio. You need the faceplate in the second picture to complete the setup. 1978 and 1979 bezels are one piece and all plastic. Any modern reproduction bezel is the 1978-1979 type.
