the cluch on my 96 f250 starts to engauge about 1 inch off the floor board, do you suspect my cluch needs to be blead or is there an adjustment for the pedal
It sounds like the bushing could be bad but if not bleeding the clutch is not that hard to do just a pain.
-1st remove the slave cylinder from the clutch fork and look for the pin holding it in place to the line.
-go back up in under the hood and open up the clutch master cylinder.
-the trick is to remove that pin from the bottom and let fluid flow down into a coffee can or something.
-But at the same time you need to keep the fluid filled up at the top to keep air out of the lines.
Thats how you bleed the clutch system and I can tell you it really helped to put a new slave cylinder in ther because they get moisture in them and rust. My clutch feels better than a new trucks, but mine has a 450hp clutch in there.
