Interesting sounding locomotive

Doing my usual youtube cruise for diesel videos, and stumbled across this one:

This last one is not a diesel, it's the SP 4449 and UP 844 arriving in Vancouver, WA the whistles are awesome!

Saw most of those this evening.
Most wives complain of husband's online games or ****, mine complains about me looking at diesels, especially classics like Lister CS's, Petters, semi-diesels, low speed, etc.

Really makes you wonder why we keep building cylinder head motors, with this Napier Deltic and the Wenkel Rotary...

There were some diesel rotaries, just not overly successful.
Here's Rolls-Royce's entry:


And some nice little rotors for the Curtis-Wright produced engine. John Deere later built gensets of upwards of 2500hp based off these:

Nice sound but to me the GE's 4 stroke diesels sound the best!

This video of a GE U23B sounds pretty cool...!
